Ich habe Pablo zum ersten Mal bei einem Festival für Wandmalkünstler getroffen, das im Juni 2008 in Bagnolet, in der Nähe von Paris, stattgefunden hat. Bei diesem Festival habe ich auch Julio aus Brasilien kennengelernt, der ebenfalls ein Bild der Erdgöttin Gaia gemalt hat.
In der griechischen Mythologie ist Gaia die Mutter des Himmels, des Meeres und der Berge. Auf dem Wandbild hält sie einen Lindenbaum in ihrer Hand wie ein Geschenk. Der Baum scheint dabei frei in der Luft zu schweben...

In Greek mythology, Gaia is a primordial godess identified to mother earth. She gave birth to Ouranos ( the sky), Pontos( the sea) and Ourea( the mountains).
On the painting, she holds the linden-tree in her hand like a present. The tree seems to be suspended in the air...
